We’re Looking for Bright People to Join the OLP Franchise
Is a Career in Outdoor Lighting Right for You?
It takes the right people to make a company like ours so successful. That’s why we carefully screen franchise candidates. You should do your due diligence, too. Ask yourself the following questions before investing in an outdoor lighting business.
Questions About Your Criteria
Would you enjoy helping people enhance the curb appeal, safety and security of their homes and businesses?
Our franchisees are passionate about what they do and it shows in their work. Whether they’re maintaining a lighting system or installing a new one, they’re committed to providing the very best service.
Would you enjoy managing people?
It takes a team to install large lighting projects. If you’re an effective leader, you might have what it takes to own an OLP location.
Are you open to working with established and proven systems?
OLP has a proven roadmap to success. With our marketing support, technology platform and guidance from experienced professionals, our franchisees routinely meet or exceed their business goals.
Can you afford the initial investment?
A standard OLP territory costs $85,025 to $184,050. Financing options are available through third-party lenders.
Can you make a decision about your career in the next 45 to 60 days?
We want to respect your time. That’s why we give candidates about two months to carefully consider whether OLP is the right fit.
Can you commit to a discovery and qualification process?
To ensure that our business model works for your situation, we ask that you go through a discovery and qualification process, which includes a background check along with an assessment of your income, lifestyle, equity and debt.
Are you willing to devote your time and attention to an established training process?
We ask our new OLP franchisees to commit to a 7-day training period, during which you’ll learn all about our technology system, marketing programs and operational support.
Become a Part of Our Team
If you answered yes to all these questions, then we think you might have OLP potential! A career owning and operating an outdoor lighting business is a great opportunity for those who love working outside, take pride in a job well done, enjoy working with people and exceeding client expectations.

Our Franchisees Have Diverse Backgrounds
Another key attribute of OLP franchisees is an ability to adapt. Many of our franchisees come to us looking for something new, not because they had prior experience in outdoor lighting, although we welcome them, too. Some owners left corporate jobs to become their own bosses, work outside and make their communities brighter places. Others were experienced lighting professionals who were tired of being second in command. But one thing they all have in common is a willingness to learn and succeed. If that sounds like you, we look forward to hearing from you.

What attracted me to OLP was really the transformation of our client's homes. Looking back, I'm very thankful that we sell a fun product. It's not an emergency, it's not the roof caving in, they don't have to spend it. They get to spend the money on their home.

I'm a former Marine, so being able to take the discipline and all the things I learned as a Marine, and as a business person, has allowed me to transition very easily into a career at Outdoor Lighting Perspectives. OLP has allowed me to accomplish my goals, both professionally and personally. The opportunity to set my own way of life, along with looking at where I want to be a year from now, five years from now, twenty years from now - it's been a wonderful opportunity. It's been wonderful to share this experience with my entire family, they probably know just as much about lighting now as I do today.

The OLP support team has been great from day one. I think the transition has been very smooth, and the things that we didn't know how to do very well, that's where the support team for our franchise has been able to come in and help us troubleshoot some of those things where maybe our background didn't support those areas as much. I've been apart of a couple franchise systems already, and this one is by far is the most accessible. We were able to get all of our questions answered to decide whether or not if this was going to be a great fit for us. And certainly it did turn out to be. The culture is just second to none - the camaraderie, the willingness to learn. All the different owners were open for us to come out to see their locations, to take tours, meet their employees. Really off the front end, we knew we were in a comfortable place, in a place where we thought we could be successful.
